VISIT US
WELCOME TO BRISTOL BAY
Our Museum, located in the heart of the historic area of downtown Naknek, offers an ambient opportunity to experience our rich heritage. We are located in the historic A.R. Davey Merchandise building where the history of Bristol Bay comes to life through the voices, artifacts, and traditions of Bristol Bay. Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning to explore more, we invite you to experience the deep Indigenous culture and maritime history of our community.

ADMISSION
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, admission to the museum is always free. We believe history should be accessible to all, and we are proud to offer a space where everyone can engage with the stories that shape Bristol Bay. While admission is free, our donation program makes this possible. If you value the preservation of our history, we encourage you to consider a donation or becoming a museum supporter. GUIDED EXPERIENCES
Would you like to schedule a private visit?
Are you traveling with an advocacy group?
Have you been to Bristol Bay before and want to see more?
Do you want to see the real Alaska?
In Bristol Bay, the greeting Cama’i (pronounced chuh-my) is a warm welcome, and our Camai Visitor Program is designed to extend our hospitality to our guests. The Cama’i program connects visitors with community members for experiential tours of our museum exhibits, community landmarks, and the landscape that surrounds our community. This program offers an immersive experience, where visitors can engage in immersive experiences with local tradition bearers and cultural stewards to learn about the Indigenous cultural lifeways and the maritime heritage of the last great salmon fishery in the world.
Cama’i Visitor Sessions are available on select dates. Follow this link to learn more about the Cama’i Visitor Program and schedule your trip!
